The Birkin; the iconic Hermes bag that exudes subtle elegance, and wealth. A basic Birkin costs a couple thousand at least, but adding colors and unique rare leathers can bring a bag over $40,000. Yes, that’s for reals. While even some quality knock offs can cost $1,500 we UnderEmployed Fashionistas have to be even more frugal yet. While there are plenty of options around, we like this $39.99 option from Ami Clubwear.
Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. This year Burberry killed the spring runway with pastels in crochet, leather, and with unconventional floral apppliques. The trending “Petal Clutch” is a chic spring must-have, but with a $1,395 price tag it’s beyond my reach. Enter: my favorite shoe store, Aldo, to the rescue! Their “Longstreet” crossbody bag is a close dupe, with a price of only $45. While it’s no longer available online, I hear it’s still available in select stores.
That’s it for this week! Do you have any dupes you’d like to share?
